This is my eleventh year teaching second grade at Pearl Lean. Prior to teaching in the Warren Consolidated School District, I also taught in the Detroit Public School District for three years as well as a private school in Farmington Hills where students came from many parts of the world. I feel that all three of my teaching experiences have made me a more open-minded person and made my classroom much more exciting over the years! In addition, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 1996 from Wayne State University and a Master’s Degree from Marygrove College in 2001. Since then I have taken almost 30 hours of post graduate classes which have kept my teaching practices current and interesting for all types of learners.
I am married and have three daughters, Libby who is 10, Gabrielle that just turned 3 and Reese who will soon be one year old! I love spending time with family and friends, especially cuddling and playing with Libby, Gabbi and Reese! In my spare time I enjoy reading, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, traveling and going to concerts.
